I met with Amanda and her family at Birdhaven Greenhouse in Joliet. Amanda and I have been friends for a few years, and I was so excited and honored when she asked me to take her family photos! I was especially excited when she said that they were bringing their dogs to be included in the portraits! I love when fur-babies are included in family photos!
I told Amanda the same thing that I tell every client who wishes to bring their pets along, bring some backup! We had a few extra sets of hands (out of frame) to help hold leashes when the dogs were not in the photo, and to help bribe with squeaky noises and treats behind the camera! I think they turned out great and I had so much fun working with Amanda and her family!
I loved how interested her son was in the cactus. He had me take special photos of him with it and then just the cactus alone. So cute! He also was excited to find all of the pennies in the small pond. Birdhaven is a great place to bring your little ones, and is the perfect backup location for when there is rain on your session day! I really like that we can photograph here year round.
