As a family and baby photographer in Wheaton, IL, there’s nothing more fulfilling than helping clients bring their visions to life. Recently, I had the immense pleasure of photographing my beautiful daughter Genevieve, I have always dreamed of creating a Pinterest-inspired photoshoot. Iturned those dreams into reality, capturing moments I will cherish forever.
One of the standout moments of this session was Genevieve wearing a knitted outfit that holds deep sentimental value. This adorable ensemble, complete with a cute matching hat, was originally made for me when I was a baby. It was heartwarming to see this beautiful piece passed down through generations, and photographing Genevieve in it felt like preserving a precious family legacy.
The second outfit is a testament to the love and creativity of myself, who, despite being a self-described amateur sewer, sewed it for Valentine’s Day this year. The joy and fun I had while creating this outfit are evident in every stitch, making it a unique and heartfelt expression of my love for my daughter.
The third outfit added a touch of timeless elegance to the photoshoot. This charming vintage piece, a delightful thrift find, showcases my passion for discovering vintage baby clothes. It’s incredible how such pieces can tell stories of the past while creating new memories in the present.
The setting of our photoshoot in Wheaton was nothing short of magical. We used a clothesline with white sheets gently blowing in the wind, adding a whimsical and dreamy touch to the photos. A vintage tablecloth, a cozy crocheted blanket, and two beautiful baskets completed the scene. One of the baskets was from Hello Little Props, while the other was a charming thrift find, adorned with delicate baby’s breath flowers.
Every element of this session, from the outfits to the props, told a story of love, creativity, and the joy of finding beauty in everyday things. It was a joy to see my vision come to life and to capture these precious moments in photographs that will be treasured for years to come.
