When choosing a location for your session there are a few things to keep in mind. I love using Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL for portrait sessions. There are so many different types of backgrounds, between gardens, woodsy, grassy fields, a pond and a creek and even a few historic buildings. I like to joke and say that you can’t take a bad picture at Cantigny, everything is beautiful! It’s also a great idea to bring two outfits to your session. Something date-night casual and then a more dressy option. It will add a lot of variety to your photos.
